Networking Groups... Are They Worth the Gas Prices Today

As I was getting ready for our monthly networking meeting for Rural Ohio Marketing Alliance today, my grandmother informed me that gas prices went up to $4.29 a gallon. This is Northeast, OH not California! Locally we have 6 or 7 marketing groups but from my location they are 30 minutes to an hour away. Will these gas prices affect our attendance?
Networking is very important when it comes to marketing any type of business. I encourage anyone starting a business to find local groups to join, but at this point are they worth it? Should we go back to the days of COVID and meet over Zoom or Google Meet? If you have a company vehicle or your company pays for your gas, how do they feel about this matter? What are your thoughts?
